Woo Illustrations: Our Illustration Style

wooillustrations

Finding your artistic voice is such a personal journey. For me, my fashion illustration style isn’t just about drawing pretty pictures—it’s a reflection of everything I’ve learned, everything I believe in, and everything I love about being an artist. My work feels like me in every single way, and I’m so proud of that.

Art with Equality at Its Heart

The art world shouldn’t be a battlefield. It’s not about whose work is better or more meaningful, and it’s definitely not about tearing down someone else’s style to elevate your own. For me, art is about connection, celebration, and creating something that resonates with people. In my work, every single person is equal. No one is better than anyone else, and no one’s value is defined by their appearance. That’s just it.

My work captures personality and style through thoughtful details like tattoos, unique hairstyles, and poses. It’s sleek, modern, and timeless—something that people can instantly connect with. It’s about showcasing elegance and creativity without comparison.

A Modern Twist on Tradition

Fashion illustrations have traditionally been rooted in a very specific style, often tied to high fashion and its ideals. But I’ve taken that tradition and made it my own. My work focuses on modern, sleek, and elegant designs while celebrating individuality in a way that feels approachable and timeless.

I’ve spent countless hours refining my colour palette, perfecting intricate details like textures and patterns, and finding ways to bring my style to life. My work is about balance: capturing the essence of the moment and focusing on the details that make each piece special.

Why Minimalist?

I’ve always loved the world of fashion illustration, and the minimalist approach felt like the perfect way to combine that love with live event illustration. By simplifying facial details, I can focus on the outfits, the movement, and the overall vibe of the piece. But make no mistake—personality still comes through! People always recognise themselves in my work, and that’s the most rewarding part. It’s sleek, stylish, and full of life.

The details in my work—the patterns on dresses, the texture of a suit, the depth of colour—are what make it feel complete. It’s all about balance: simplicity where it matters and intricate details where they count.

Why I’m In Love with My Style

Honestly, I’m so in love with my work because it’s mine. It’s everything I wanted when I started this journey. I spent so much time experimenting—doodling, practising, and brainstorming what I’d want at my own wedding. And after refining my ideas over and over, I found a style that feels perfect. It’s modern. It’s timeless. It’s classy. And it’s 100% me.

My illustrations aren’t just keepsakes; they’re moments captured in a way that’s stylish, elegant, and uniquely personal. They tell a story, and I love being part of that story for the couples and guests I draw for. Every piece I create feels special because it’s a little piece of me, too.
